READY FOR THE NEXT TRIP
Iron rewards a few simple habits.
Start here, then follow the instructions supplied with your pan.
Wash the pan and dry it thoroughly. Follow the supplied instructions to gently warm it and apply a thin layer of cooking oil. Let it cool safely, then wipe away the excess. Avoid prolonged empty heating.
Use gentle preheating, enough cooking oil and heat suited to your ingredients. Give seared food time to release before turning. This is an iron pan; effortless release takes technique and care, and it is not a zero-oil nonstick pan.
Serve the food promptly. Hand wash with a soft cleaning tool, dry thoroughly and apply a thin layer of cooking oil when needed. Use wood or silicone utensils. Do not use metal spatulas or steel wool. Keep the pan dry in storage.
Use a stable gas or open-flame stove, or induction with controlled heat. Avoid induction settings above 2,000 W. Protect the wooden handle from flames and take care around the hot metal connector. Do not use in an oven or microwave, including with the handle removed unless the manufacturer specifically approves it.
The pan can handle noodles and small amounts of liquid. It is primarily a frying and stir-frying pan. Follow the supplied restriction on acidic foods, transfer cooked food to a serving dish, and restore a light oil film after washing and drying.
LESS TO PACK. MORE TO COOK.
